Let's get to the important stuff up front. Here's what ya need to know:
When and Where?
Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Crossfit Carmel. Check in will be from 7:30 - 8:00 am, and competition will most likely end by 4 pm. Registration will open January 1st and remain open until the morning of the competition. The cut off to receive a t-shirt will be February 8th!
Divisions and Standards
We will have two main divisions: Junior Varsity (JV) and Varsity (V). JV is for athletes 12-14, and Varsity is for athletes 15-18. Choose your division based on your age on the day of the competition. All athletes need to be familiar with Crossfit movements and have been Crossfitting a minimum of 4-6 months.
The table below is a representation of what you might see in the competition. With the strength movements (back squat, clean, shoulder to overhead, deadlift), we will not exceed the listed weights unless it is in a "determine your heaviest lift" format. If you are unable to perform a movement in a WOD, you may modify! A modified score will be ranked after all of the other athletes that have performed the WOD at the RX requirements. Once the WODs have been released, we ask that you notify us of any necessary modifications so that we can ensure there is no confusion on the day of competition. There will be no muscle ups (bar or ring), handstand push ups, handstand walking, or pistols in the regular WODs or Finals. Any other Crossfit movement may appear in the finals. The following table should be used as a guideline of whether or not you will be able to compete in your chosen division. Not all movements will appear, and some movements will appear that are not listed.
